The Three Rivers Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and established on January 17, 2019 by the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners, Ordinance No. 2018-47 as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
The Three Rivers CDD is located entirely within the boundaries of Nassau County, Florida and covers approximately 1,546 acres of land. The real property within the boundaries of the District is bounded by State Toad 200 to the north, Nassau River to the south and Boggy Creek to the west.
The exclusive charter for the District shall be the uniform community development district charter (Uniform Charter) as set forth in Florida Statutes 190. The Uniform Charter grants certain general and special powers. The District may exercise the additional powers to plan, establish, acquire, construct or reconstruct, enlarge rt extend, equip, operate and maintain systems, and facilities for parks and facilities for indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural and educational uses as authorized and described by Sections 190.012(2)(a), Florida Statutes.
